Deodorized vs non-deodorized suet tallow

Deodorizing reduces tallow's natural aroma; non-deodorized tallow retains more of it, and that aroma can vary by batch. Both are rendered tallow. These terms describe the tallow ingredient, while a finished balm may also contain vanilla or another scented ingredient. Our tallow products use non-deodorized suet tallow. For balms offered in Unscented, that means no added vanilla essential oil; the natural tallow aroma may still be noticeable.

What does tallow do for the skin?

Tallow is a nutrient-rich moisturizer derived from organic, grass-fed beef fat. It’s loaded with skin-repairing vitamins (A, D, E, K), essential fatty acids, and natural antioxidants. Because its molecular structure closely matches our skin’s natural oils, tallow deeply nourishes, repairs, and protects the skin barrier without clogging pores or causing irritation.

Is tallow balm safe for sensitive skin?

Yes—our balms are made with ultra-pure ingredients and are free from seed oils, synthetics, and harsh preservatives. Many customers with eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, or other skin sensitivities report significant relief using our balms. We also offer a fragrance-free option for ultra-sensitive skin.

How do I apply the balm?

Scoop a small amount using clean fingers or a spatula and gently massage into dry or irritated areas. A little goes a long way. Apply to the face, body, hands, or anywhere that needs healing moisture. Best used after a shower or before bed for overnight nourishment.

Can I use it on my face?

Absolutely. Our balms are non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores) and perfect for facial use—especially for dry, red, inflamed, or post-treatment skin. Just avoid direct contact with the eyes.

Does it have a strong scent?

We use only pure essential oils, and never in overpowering amounts. Our signature balms feature light natural scents like vanilla, and we also offer an unscented version.

How long does a jar last?

Most customers find that a single jar lasts 1–3 months depending on how often they use it. Since a little goes a long way, you don’t need to apply a thick layer.

Is it safe for kids or babies?

Yes! We’ve formulated our balms with clean, gentle ingredients—making them safe for the whole family. Always patch-test first if you’re using it on infants or young children.

Is it cruelty-free?

Absolutely. No animal testing—ever. Our tallow is a byproduct of ethical, regenerative farming practices that respect the whole animal and promote sustainable land use.

What’s the difference between Original Balm (Butter-Like) and Cloud Moisturizer (Cloud-Like)?

• Original Balm (Butter-Like) is rich, dense, and creamy—ideal for dry patches, eczema, or nighttime repair.

• Cloud Moisturizer (Cloud-Like) is light, airy, and whipped—perfect for daily moisturizing and fast absorption. Both nourish deeply, but the texture is up to your personal preference.
